TABAÏMO


Tabaimo is a japanese female artist (born 1975) whose drawings and installations investigates the unsettling theme of isolation, contagion, and the instability of everyday life. She draws aesthetic inspiration from a combination of japanese art forms ( ukiyoe woodcuts, manga and anime) with a surrealist narrative. Her work has appeard in major exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale, the Yokohama Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain.
